Journaling:
Your very first visit to the Barbershop. I had cut your hair at home many times before, but the time had finally come to say goodbye to the beloved bowl cut for a short summer buzz. You and Daddy both got haircuts, Daddy first so you could see. We bribed you with the promise of a watermelon flavored lollipop the whole day before. Although you cried when the buzzer was used, you did so well for your very first time! Afterwards I told you how handsome you looked and you said, “Yeah, just like Daddy!”

The Fly

Today after your nap, you were so cranky. But as soon as we went downstairs you focused your attention on the little fly that was buzzing around our house. Ten minutes you followed it, saying, "Where the fly went, Mommy? Oh, there it is, on the wall/window/table." Then you lost it again. "We have to find it Mommy!" You kept saying this over and over. Finally, I said, "Why, Isaiah? Why do we have to find it?" "We have to find it, and we have to smack it with the newspaper!" I was laughing so hard. I have no idea where you get these things!
