It's pronounced TAR-JHEH.

This is just a random meaningless thought/question because I am wondering if anyone else is crazy like me... do you do the Target survey that you sometimes get at the bottom of your receipt? You know the one that says you could win a $5000 gift card to Target? Is it just me? Or do you daydream about winning that prize too? Every once in awhile, I get all crazed and excited and actually do that survey that requires you to enter all those numbers dash numbers and answer in the form of Extremely Satisfied, Satisfied, Somewhat Satisfied, Neither Satisfied or Dissatisfied, Dissatisfied or Very Dissatisfied.
Then I sit and ponder for... minutes maybe... if people actually win that darn gift card or if this is just another evil ploy from the man to get your information and sell it on the black market. Has anyone heard of anyone who actually won? They say there are 3 winners a month and if you would like a list of previous winners all you have to do is:
...write your name and complete address on a 3”x5” card and mail in a first class, stamped envelope to: Target 2008 Spring Survey Sweepstakes Winners List, P.O. Box 6838, Young America, MN 55558-6838
Yeah. Right. Like anyone's going to do that. Do you know what the cost of a stamp these days is?
But, oh what I could do with a $5000 gift card to Target...for some reason when I imagine winning, rose petals are falling from the flourescent lights and beautiful music is playing and I am dancing around the store (in high heels) with my shiny red shopping cart, and in the cart is that white dog with the red circle on his eye and he's barking happily.
I totally heart Target. I mean, Target is not just a store, it's a freaking hobby (Marissa may be the only one who has logged more Target hours than me). I would have to say that probably 75% of the stuff in my house is from Target (the other 25% being from Costco). I'm not talking furniture or electronics, but you know just all the rest of the stuff. And of course, Target has really become my 2nd home since having children. So the way I see it, I am almost entitled to that $5000 gift card because I've pretty much spent my life savings there and will probably continue to do so for the rest of my life because of my twisted addiction. So anyways- I decided to check the official rules and get this:
Sponsor reserves the right to request that any participant forward the original cash register receipt with the original user ID and Password. Failure to comply with this request within the time stated in the request may cause disqualification.
Uh-huh. That's how they get you. I've done the survey and chucked the receipt so many times. Can you imagine getting a call or email that you won and then they ask you for your receipt, and you threw it away and there is no hope of dumpster diving because the trash man already came and picked it up a week ago? It's like my worst nightmare. I will end my pointless rambling here.
