PINKED OUT
It happened sooner than I thought- I am sick of pink. I was so excited to have a girl because girl's clothes are SO ADORABLE. I have hardly bought any clothes for Lily, but if you look in her closet, already it is a wall of PINK! Yesterday we went shopping for girl's infant essentials, it is nearly impossible to find anything that is not pink- dark pink, light pink, fushia - it's all pink. No burgundies, or browns or even black. No real colors- you might find lavendar, or yellow or cream, but I want real colors, not pastels! AGHH! I think there is more variety for infant boys.
In other non related news, at Costco yesterday I saw a mom pushing a double stroller with boy/girl twins (who were wailing) with one hand, and towing a shopping cart with the other. Following the shopping cart was another older toddler who was complaining about something. I wanted to give that mom a hug. YOU GO GIRL. She deserved some kind of reward for pressing on, keeping cool and going to Costco with twins and a toddler all by herself. If I were a rich mom, I would have bought you that Spafinder gift certificate and hired you a nanny who also cooks and cleans.
Also, last night we found out that Isaiah thinks we got his baby sister from Hawaii. We were reading his "I'm a big brother" book and he was going along with the part of the story where Grandma and Grandpa were watching Luke (the main character) and then Isaiah said, "Yeah, just like Grandma and Grandpa watched me. Mommy and Daddy went to Hawaii and brought baby sister home." I think he got a few events jumbled together. We did go to Hawaii and Grandma and Grandpa did watch Isaiah and shortly after Lily was born... so I guess in a toddler's head, that would all make sense!
