OH THE PAIN!
The pain of my pelvis loosening is almost unbearable, it has actually brought me to my knees! Does this mean my labor is going to be horrific? Or is the baby just going to slide out since my pelvis is so loose? It hurts bad! To top it all off, I now have carpal tunnel in my right hand.
Well, we are finally in the home stretch and "he can come any day now!" my mom says! She also says this baby is going to be "at least 7 pounds!". She's convince that I will have a huge baby boy! I can't believe I am supposed to gain MORE weight in the next 4 weeks. I don't know if my aching stretch marks can stretch anymore! They hurt too. The doc says my skin is just too tight, and really it's genetic. Nothing I can do but slather on more cocoa butter. So I have stretch marks, but I won't get wrinkles until I'm real old. I guess it's a good trade off.
Baby Peanut is now head down, and we can feel the butt up against my belly, and I think we felt the leg and thigh a few times. The movements are weird now, not as intense, but it's crazy to actually feel the limbs of your baby. Sometimes I try and give Peanut a massage.
My poor husband is now being blamed for everything. I can't help it. In all my pain I keep saying, "See what you did to me?" Or "YOU... you did this to me!" He takes it well. In all my moaning and complaining, he is always sweet and sympathetic. I am still trying to convince him to breastfeed (did you know it's possible for men to breastfeed?) but he will have no part of it. "We could take turns! You could really bond with the baby!" He just looks at me, covers his nipples and says "Stay away!"
I am still trying to hold out until our house closes escrow, but we are cutting it close, I am due Jan 29th or 30th and our close of escrow is January 18th (as of now- knock on wood). I keep talking to Peanut and telling him/her "don't you want to stay in there for just a little longer? It's nice and warm in there!" I predict she will come a week late, but I'm sure he'll come whenever she's good and ready. So far, no contractions or anything- not even braxton hicks lately. So I'm crossing my fingers!!
