Goodbye Sparky

A sad, sad thing has happened. Our boy Sparky has died. I didn't cry this time because I've known it was coming for a long time. Ever since the move from Murrieta to Menifee, he just didn't look good. Homesick maybe. We had him for almost 3 years. This seems to be the lifespan of our betta fish. Bluebee lived for 3 years also (but he seemed to die suddenly). Well Sparky, Sparkster, Sparks-a-lot, Sparks-the-most, we will miss you. You were the spunkiest most beautiful betta ever. We haven't had the funeral yet. Probably tonight. If anyone is interested- services will be held at our home in the downstairs powder bath. It will be an open viewing. He will be flushed with soft water and good wishes.

This is an actual photo of the Sparkster. Wasn't he the most gorgeous fish? Will we get another, you ask? I don't know- it's just too painful to think about right now. Sniff.

NOOOOOOOOO, poor Sparky...Well he led a good life and got some good fights in...We will miss him.

Thanks for your condolences. The funeral was somber, but quick. Mostly family- Dave, me and Oscar. I guess Mayer just couldn't bear it! He was too sad to be burying his brother so soon!

When I heard the news I just didn't want to believe it! Sorry it took me long to send my condolences but I've been just too sad to talk about it! He was a trooper, and although his live was only 3 years his quality of life was very good! His fish bowl traveled to many places and he always had the best life could offer him...like soft water and blood worms. You took very good care of him and I'm sure he's in beta fish heaven watching over you!

Someone pass the tarter sauce :P
