Thank you for your continued prayers
I can't tell you how much I appreciate all your prayers and thoughts. They are so comforting to me and I know that your prayers are making a difference.
Dad is in stable condition at the hospital. He is so much better than he was a week ago. He is no longer contagious, so we no longer have to wear the masks, gown and gloves to visit him, and Isaiah has been able to come into his room with me. My dad probably has 70% of his speech back. He is extremely weak physically, and I know he is mentally and emotionally drained. Although his state is a major improvement- I think it will get worse before it gets better again. He has constant headaches again- and everyday he has fevers ranging from 99 to 103. The fevers have affected his hearing, and he is also constantly nauseas. He cannot keep anything down but fruit (apples). We try to encourage him to eat, but even the smell of food makes him sick to his stomach. I have been bringing him Ensure and Gatorade and he has been drinking, but very little at a time.
I have spoken to the doctors to see if they can find some other medication to help with his nausea and fever. I just think that if he could eat some, his body would have more strength to fight. He has walked a few steps in a walker, but very shaky and unstable, due to being so weak...
Please continue to pray for him. We look forward to the day that he can be transferred to a skilled nursing facility for physical therapy, but he needs to be rid of the fever for 24 hours. My dad says that he is not at all mad at God, and that God can do what He will, he knows there is a reason for this. I am amazed by his faith and his strength.
